Delivery Times

We will aim to process all orders as fast as possible. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday or the eve of a public holiday will be processed immediately but can only be scheduled for delivery from the next business working day.

  • Melbourne Metro Area: Orders placed on a business day will arrive within 5-7 working days
  • Sydney Metro Area: Orders placed on a business day will arrive within 7-10 working days
  • Brisbane/Gold Coast/Adelaide/Tasmania & Canberra: Orders placed on a business day will arrive in 10-15 working days
  • Perth: Orders placed on a business day will arrive within 21 working days
  • Rural areas and the rest of Australia: Orders placed on a business day will arrive within 21-28 working days.

These time frames are a generous estimate of lead times. We will strive to have your pieces delivered as soon as possible. Please understand that your pieces of furniture need to be handled with care and only the utmost service will be expected of our freight companies. This means that we will have to fit in with the logistic schedules of our appointment freight carriers.

The carrier will ring you a day prior to delivery so please ensure that you provide the correct contact details to avoid further delays. If no one is physically present at your place upon an agreed delivery time, the carrier will be forced to take the shipment back into storage and you will be charged for delivery so please ensure you let the carrier know your available times. We will not accept “failed delivery” as grounds for a refund.

Alternatively, if you wish to have your items left at the front, please arrange with the carrier but please note that iwannagohome is not responsible for theft or damages to the furniture while unattended. We will not accept damage while left at customer’s request as grounds for a refund.

In the event that delivery will take longer than scheduled due to rural areas rarely serviced by furniture carriers, our team will contact you to let you know of the lead time.

Pick Up

In the event that you would like to pick up the item yourself, this can be arranged but only for Melbourne. Prices will not change. Delivery to a Business Address You may, of course, nominate a business address for the delivery of your items. Please ensure that you provide a full and detailed address plus available business hours so that the carrier can make the appropriate arrangements.

Free Delivery does not include unpacking and displaying of the furniture. Customers are responsible for disposal of the boxes and packaging. Customers are also responsible in ensuring that the space/doorway/area that the boxes need to pass through have been measured before confirming the order. We will only deliver to houses and apartments on the ground floor or if there is a loading elevator. We will not accept “failed delivery” as grounds for a refund.
